I picked against Phil in his last fight and for 12 minutes, i looked like a genius, then his opponent gassed and he found the finish. The reality is that Phil Rowe is talented but hesitant. He doesn't have a sense of urgency and can fall behind on the scorecards. I think Phil is the more technically sound striker in this matchup, but I am picking Ko. I think Ko's awkward stance and fast twitch motions can get Phil out of sorts. Ko can also work in takedowns to even further frustrate him. Ko is the pick, but no odds yet to nailed down a bet.
Phil Rowe
Philip Rowe is long rangy striker who does a great job using his length to find power and maintain distance. His ground game is fantastic but his wrestling needs a lot of work. Despite managing range well, he can be a bit hittable and he does have a negative striking differential. He is coming off the come from behind win over Ange Loose where he was down 2 rounds and found a late knockout.
Seok Hyeon Ko
Seokhyeon Ko is a heavy handed striker who can work in takedowns. He is stiff as hell, but with that stiffness comes power. He is not particularly fast, but again, he is powerful. Everything he throws is heavy and half the time its wild. He has a decent sprawl but if he is taken down, he doesn't have much to offer. He is a fun guy to watch and can certainly find power in any exchange. he has a weird stance which leaves him open but can also be frustrating for his opponents. He is coming off the decision win over Oban Elliott where he worked in 6 takedowns.
