Don't let the stats fool you, Kevin is tremendous but does almost nothing with that size. He can't box you up from the outside and doesn't have good enough takedowns to get the fight to where he usually needs it. Billy isn't great, but he is technically sound, durable and has solid fight IQ. I think this ends up being a pretty typical Elekana fight which starts slow but he dots Christian up for a decision win. Elekana is the pick and I am hoping his line shrinks a bit.
Kevin Christian
Kevin Christian is a massive guy at 6'7. Even though he is tall he doesn't his his range very well. He will fire knees up the middle but outside of that he swings wild and wide which leaves him open for takedowns. If he is taken down he is comfortable and has no problem throwing up submissions. While he doesn't use his range well standing, he does use it well on the ground. He is coming off a submission win on the Contendor Series which earned him a UFC call up.
Billy Elekana
Billy Elekana is a patient but heavy handed striker. He is a long guy and uses his length to keep range. He mostly backs up and looks to counter, but does have a nice step in jab. He has plenty of faints and twitches as well as solid takedown defense. Most Elekana fights will be slow paced on the feet for the first round or so before he eventually settles in and picks up the pace. He is coming off the underdog win over Ibo Aslan where he was tentative but fought well backing up.
