Just a little over a month ago Donte stepped up on short notice to fight on the Contender Series at heavyweight. This fight is at middleweight but Donte is a light heavyweight. That introduces a whole world of nuance and complication but the reality is, there is nothing complicated about this fight. SD sucks. I cannot believe he still has a job and I am guessing after this one he won't. Donte likely moves forward, lands clean a few times and then SD breaks.
Donte Johnson
Donte Johnson is a short notice merchant who has solid striking. He does a great job jumping in and out of the pocket to land but avoid what comes back. He also does a great job throwing in volume. When he engages, he puts up numbers and can overwhelm people. He is a little twitchy but he's confident and can find finishes. He has ok power and I'm assuming at middleweight he will have more. He is a fast, athletic guy who is very early in his career and evolving at a quick pace. He is coming off a win on the contender series to punch his ticket to the big show.
Sedriques Dumas
Sedriques Dumas is disaster. His personal life has a rap sheet as long as a CVS receipt. But he's fighting on this card, so lets break him down… Style wise, he's ok everywhere and good nowhere. He has ok takedowns, ok kickboxing and uses techniques well. He has an ok chin and will not quit if things get tough. He is coming off the nut explosion to Zach Reese at Noche UFC.
