This is another great matchup that doesn't matter. And I'm totally fine with that. I love a fight thats just a fight. When you add the pressure of an undefeated record, a ranking, a potential title shot, sometimes you get guys looking to be safe. I don't expect either one of these guys to be safe and I do expect leather flying immediately. Picking a side here is almost impossible. I think Frevola is more dangerous, but Nelson is more durable. Either one of these guys being slumped in the first 2 minutes would not be surprising. For the pick I will lean Frevola because i think he is the actual better fighter, but bet wise, just spend the cash on does not go the distance or under the round line.

Kyle Nelson

Kyle Nelson is a solid striker with very real power in his hands. He has solid takedown defense and does a really good job using his opponents shots to create a scramble and end up on top. He does a great job making fights ugly and winning with toughness. He is coming off the KO loss to Steve Garcia where he landed 1 significant strike before being put down.

Matt Frevola

Matt Frevola is a tough wrestler who never stops coming forward. He doesn't have the most technical striking but that doesn't stop him from charging forward and throwing big looping shots or in some cases, even sloppy back fists. He averages more than 2 takedowns per fight with a low 39% accuracy. He has 15 takedowns in 11 fights but is very inconsistent with when he actually uses them. He is coming off the KO loss to Fares Ziam where he had a nice takedown and an insane guillotine attempt, but ate a huge knee in what is now forever a meme clip.
