Punahele Soriano vs. Nikolay Veretennikov

SORIANO VS VERETENNIKOV

This fight comes down to which version of Punahele we will get. If we get the D3 All American wrestler that had 5 takedowns against Miguel Baeza, then he wins here. If we get the guy who attempted zero takedowns against Brendan Allen and was out struck, then he loses. I am going to trust here that he will do what he is supposed to and wrestle, but he did just knockout Uros Medic and you know how that goes, you knock someone out and then you chase that high in every fight instead of sticking to a gameplan. Punahele is the pick but he isn't the most trustworthy guy.

Punahele Soriano

Punahele Soriano is a fluid striker who has tons of power and can put most people out on their feet. He was a D3 all american wrestler who despite his wrestling credentials has been taken down 18 times in 9 UFC fights. He can be first round or bust at times, but he does retain his power later into fights. He is coming off his second win at welterweight, this time a 30 second KO over Uros Medic.

Nikolay Veretennikov

Nikolay Veretennikov is a powerful and aggressive striker. He plots forward and send everything with power. He will occasionally set things up with low kicks, but for the most part, he comes in, throws big hooks and launches rights. He is durable and has no problem with a dog fight but he can be taken down. He s coming off the busy win over Francisco Prado where he shot 6 of his own takedowns.
