I totally get the hype on the Montague side. She is big, strong, aggressive and accomplished. She has competed at a world level in multiple sports and always seems to rise to the occasion. Off tape alone I can say she wins this fight. Her aggressive striking will close the distance and then her aggressive grappling can take it home. My only concern is the same concern everyone has when we get an untested prospect and thats the lack of high level experience. Her grappling world tour has hopefully prepared her and she is the pick.

Luana Carolina

Luana Carolina is a striker with solid takedown defense. She isnt the most technical woman in the division but she is fantastic in the clinch with knees and elbows. She has an awkward striking style that can be hard to read and she pairs that with solid takedown defense at 74%. She is coming off the decision win over Lucie Pudalova where despite giving up 2 takedowns she landed more than double the strikes.

Michelle Montague

Michelle Montague is the latest PFL crossover to hit the UFC and like the others, we have to be skeptical of her record. She is 6-0 on paper, but against what level of competition. She is a tall and long fighter who can do everything. She comes forward, throws crazy hands and then if she needs too, grapples. The “if she needs too” is an interesting dynamic because she is a grappler by trade with plenty of accolades and accomplishments both in wrestling and jiu jitsu at a world level. She is a very real prospect with very real skills.
