Are people still making Kaue a 2-1 dog? He was a 3-1 dog vs Guram and absolutely dominated that fight. His only UFC loss was his debut against Marc Diakase where he won the striking but was out wrestled. I am nervous that I am picking so many dogs on this card, but. i do like Kaue here. His striking is clean, his takedowns are solid, he has great BJJ. I fully understand that Fares is streaking now but not exactly high quality opponents. I'm picking Kaue and may god be with my picks on this card.

Fares Ziam

Fares Ziam is a long rangy striker who also works well in the clinch. He manages range with solid leg kicks and when he decides to close the distance he works to a clinch where he has solid elbows. He is a technical fighter and avoids risk. He picks his shots well and only engages when he sees an opportunity. He takes his time and looks to point his way to victory. He is however coming off the win over a guard pulling Mike Davis where he had clean striking.

Kaue Fernandes

Kaue Fernades is a loose and powerful striker who will bounce on his toes, stay outside the pocket and then lunge in with speed and power. Like many fighters at Novau Unaia he has slick BJJ and solid takedown defense as well. He does get flashy with his striking when he's comfortable and when he's focused, he can be technical as well. He is coming off the dominant win over Guram Kutaleadze where he won the grappling and striking.
