The last time Gomis fought in France he was uncharacteristically busy and ended up winning a gift decision. There is no reason not to think that wouldnt happen again here. Gomis should win this fight. If he is aggressive we have seen that he can be successful and we know Ruchala is hittable, if he is the low volume technical guy, then he can win by managing range. I like Gomis here and these odds looks great to me.

William Gomis

William Gomis is a pretty well rounded guy who can strike, grapple and outwork people. It's hard to label him as any one thing because he genuinely is good everywhere. He has solid Muay Thai striking and very opportunistic grappling where he will snatch things up in scrambles. The criticism on Gomis is that he can be low volume at times and looks to counter. He has 75 minutes of cage time and lands fewer than 4 significant strikes per minute. He is coming off the decision loss to Hyder Amil where the judges seem to appreciate the power.

Robert Ruchala

Robert Ruchala is a fun athletic striking who will jump, spin, kick, wrestle and attack from all angles. He is a well rounded guy with fantastic pressure and a wide variety of attacks. He can be hittable, but is pretty durable. When he shoots takedowns he runs forward, when he strikes he throws in intent. He is fun to watch and willing to take risks.
