Brain Ortega vs. Aljamain Sterling

ORTEGA VS STERLING

Some of you are going to hate this and then call me weird names in the comments, but Brian Ortega kinda sucks now. His striking is not good, his grappling is good but because everyone knows, they just avoid it. He is tough. Brian Ortega is just tough. Unfortunately toughness doesn't work with everyone especially against a former world champion. I think Aljo comes forward, gets the takedowns and dominates on the ground. likely a decision and probably a boring one, but this feels like an easy Aljo win.

Brian Ortega

Brian Ortega is a very good grappler who doesn't have very good wrestling with a low 26% accuracy. He has solid offensive striking but his defense needs work. He is hit with almost 7 significant strikes per minute which a very high number. He is hot and cold in his fights which makes breaking him down hard. He is one of the toughest guys in the division but hasn't quite evolved. He was supposed to go up to lightweight, but that looks the be put on hold after getting almost KO'd by Diego Lopes in his last fight.

Aljamain Sterling

Aljaimain Sterling is a backpack grappler who will push for takedowns and stick to you like an extra layer of skin. Over time he developed his own striking style where he uses kicks really well to manage range. He lands almost 5 significant strikes per minute and only absorbs about 2 because he does such a good job with his footwork and range control. His offensive takedowns are just ok, but as we saw in his last fight, his scrambles and ground game are incredible.
