Miles Johns vs. Jean Matsumoto

JOHNS VS MATSUMOTO

This is great matchmaking and should be a fun fight. I am a little bias and a little chapped here because I also think Jean won his last fight. I thought he did enough to take the win and disagree that a small cut outweighs fairly even striking and 7 takedowns. With that being said, Jean gets hit a lot and cuts easy. We saw how insanely tough Miles Johns can be, I know he can wrestle, I know he has power and I believe these last few years he dialed in his cardio. I like the dog here in Miles and at 2-1, even if you don't have the courage to bet it straight up, a +3.5 is likely a lock.

Miles Johns

Miles Johns is a strong wrestler with heavy hands and explosive speed. He seems to have a love/hate relationship with his wrestling because while he has wrestled at a high level and has used it in the cage, its not a given and he has fallen in love with his hands. He is coming off the tricky loss to Felipe Lima where we saw the power, saw the toughness an saw the wrestling, but he just literally wasn't as good on that night.

Jean Matsumoto

Jean Matsumoto is a well rounded kid with black belts and accolades in multiple martial arts. He can initiate offensive takedowns while staying a busy striker. If he is taken down and ends up on bottom, he stays busy and makes you work. He is a creative striker with a variety of kicks and counters. He does get hit though but is plenty tough and has plenty of cardio to push through. He is coming of the the insanely close loss to Rob Font where he had 7 takedowns but a small cut on his face lost him a split decision.
