Marcin Tybura vs. Serghei Spivac
TYBURA VS SPIVAC

This is a rematch from 2020 where Marcin Tybura won a pretty straight forward fight where he had success striking and landed a handful of takedowns

Marcin already won this fight and he did it in pretty straight forward fashion. It was years ago and I'm the first person to say rematches after 3 years are basically new fights, but I don't know how much different this fight will be. It's not like we've seen Spivac improve at an incredible pace. If Sergei can get the takedowns, he can win, if he can't he loses. Tybura has great takedown defense and the only person who has takn him down in the last 6 years was Alexandr Romanov. i think Tybura wins here, but these are heavyweights and one of them is 38, so proceed with caution,.

Marcin Tybura

Marcin Tybura is a durable grinder who never quits and is busy everywhere. His striking is just ok and he is more of a “punches in bunches” kind of guy. The strikes are really there to setup his takedowns. If he gets a takedown he will pound on you till you quit and doesn't need to look for submissions. Tybura averages a little more than one takedown per fight but has a low 33% accuracy. Instead of clean doubles and shots he relies on body locks and trips to get it to the ground. He is coming off the first round submission win over Tai Tuivasa

Serghei Spivac

Sergey Spivac is a heavyweight grappler who has great ground and pound with solid takedowns. He has an ok submission game and is a capable striker. He doesn't have ko power but he does have a decent jab and solid volume. His biggest issue is control. The reason he averages around 5 takedowns per fight is because people are standing up on him. He is coming off the second round KO loss to Ciryl Gane where it was clear Serghei's striking isn't ready for the top 5.
