Henry Cejudo vs. Payton Talbott

CEJUDO VS TALBOTT

The twinks are taking over. Michael Morales is on the verge of a welterweight title fight and Payton Talbott is back in the win column. The unfortunate reality of MMA is that your favorite fighters get old and the UFC sends a zesty man to beat him up. That zesty man is Payton Talbott. He is just too big, too fast and too durable to lose here. I love Cejudo and have been following his career long before MMA. I wish he would come in here and wrestle his little ass off, but he won't. He will strike on the outside and not attempt a takedown till it's too late. Payton is the pick, but I would happily be wrong here.

Henry Cejudo

Henry Cejudo is an olympic gold medalist and the former 2 division UFC champion who retired mid title reign in 2020. While he is an olypic wrestler his takedown accuracy is only 46% but he does have better striking than you would expect. He has a positive striking differential and will mix it up on the feet before working in shots. He is coming off the disaster that was an eye poke at UFC Seattle against Song Yadong

Payton Talbott

Payton Talbott is a flashy striker with a lot of movement and power. He is massive for the division and fights using that length. He throws out one twos at an incredible pace and then finds the big shots. His aura took a massive hit when he couldn't defend Raoni Barcelos' takedowns but we saw improved wrestling in his last fight. He is coming off the dominant win over Felipa Lima where he won the wrestling scrambles and hit hard.
