UFC Vegas 61 Quick Picks and Betting Guide

We are back for another Apex card which is basically a "layover" before we head into yet another break week. I went 7-6 on my RFQP predictions first Vegas 60 and basically broke even on all of my betting/DFS action but perseverance is key when it comes to snapping...

UFC 279 probably delivered the craziest 72 hours of complete madness. From backstage brawls resulting in the press conference getting canceled to Khamzat missing weight and all the marquee matchups getting changed. The pay per view delivered and PrizePicks that didn’t DNP delivered as well. UFC VEGAS 60 looks like a fun card and I’m really liking a lot of unders to be honest, let’s dive into it;

GILLIAN ROBERTSON MORE 76.5 FANTASY SCORE-

This line is way too low for Gillian Roberson in this matchup where she could legitimately win the first two rounds. Agapova is a wild lady that will be dangerous on the feet but Gillian can still hang with her. Once this fight hits the mat that’s where it’s over for Agapova the levels in the grappling department. Agapova’s gas tank is also not good, lots of wrestling early on will really wear on her another feather in Robertson’s cap. As long as she just try to strike with Agapova for too long this fight will be hers and she’ll end it quick, training with Din Thomas’ crew helps my confidence that she’ll be looking to wrestle from the jump.

NICKLAS MOTTA LESS 83.5 FANTASY SCORE –

This fight will deliver violence for however long it lasts. Both fighters are kill or be killed type fighters coming off knockout loses to start their UFC careers. One of the major deciding factors in this matchup for me is VanCamp will be significantly bigger than Motta dropping down a weight class from welterweight to lightweight. He’ll be the taller, faster and more active fighter in this matchup. He’s also got more paths to victory in this spot he can go for takedowns, possibly lock up a submission. Don’t get me wrong, Motta has pop in his hands but he’s just not active enough nor is fast enough to touch him up.

PAT SABATINI MORE 2.5 TAKEDOWNS-

This one will be a grapplers delight, both fighters are good jiu jitsu players that won’t want to strike much. Now history has it when two good grapplers fight then tend to end in a striking match that won’t be the case here. Pat knows where he wants this fight and he’s got a solid fight IQ. Damon Jackson is on a solid win streak albeit vs weaker competition but his forty percent takedown defense screams perfect for us. Pat averages about four takedowns per fifteen minutes with a forty four percent accuracy. I believe Pat can get at least one takedown per round to get the job done.

JOSEPH PYFER MORE 118.5 FANTASY SCORE-

There’s not much to say about this one other than the UFC had the perfect victim for Pyfer to feed on. Amedovski is trash in every language, the guy is not UFC caliber this will be his last fight in the promotion. Pyfer by round one knockout looks really good.

LEANS

  • ANTHONY HERNANDEZ LESS 90.5 FANTASY SCORE
  • TANNER BOSER MORE 7.5 FIGHT TIME
  • TREVIN GILES LESS 89.5 FANTASY SCORE
