Road To UFC Singapore: Semi-Finals Preview

It’s no secret that I loved “Road to UFC: Singapore”, the quarter finals of a tournament in which many fighters from across Asia fight for a UFC contract. There were many standout performances in the quarter finals and I am expecting some great fights when the semi...

UFC Vegas 61 FanDuel Breakdown

That week off was both brutal and refreshing, but we are back for the layover card that is UFC Vegas 61. This event takes place at the Apex Center, but is rumored to be privately rented out by Mark Zuckerburg and friends, so no media or fans will be allowed in the...

UFC Vegas 61 PrizePicks Breakdown

UFC is back after the one week break and it’s a little bittersweet because we’re going on break next week as well. After this weird one card in three weeks schedule we get the final stretch of the year started with two more banger pay-per views left. This week it’s...

UFC 277 might not be the strongest card on paper but these are the cards that tend to over deliver. Both headliners are rematches with major implications, Nunes is trying to get her belt back while Moreno and Kai Kara France are fighting for the flyweight interim belt. There’s some interesting spots on  PrizePicks lets build last week’s major success;

BRANDON MORENO OVER 1 TAKEDOWN –

This will be another banger, I expect it to go the distance as well. Moreno won the first fight convincingly enough but this version of Kai Kara-France stepping into the cage on Saturday is a different guy. On the feet it will be close again, Moreno averages little over three significant strikes per minute while Kara-France averages almost five significant strikes per minute. On the ground Moreno averages almost two takedowns per fight and Kara-France’s takedown defense is an astounding eighty-eight percent. Even though Kara-France has great takedown defense, over the course of 25 minutes Moreno will get him down.

MICHAEL MORALES OVER 37.5 SIGNIFICANT STRIKES –

THIS ONE IS SCARY! Morales packs a lot of heat in his punches, he could easily knockout Fugitt within the first three minutes or even first exchange. Adam Fugitt is not UFC caliber, but he is a slick BJJ practitioner. I don’t expect Morales to come out with a wrestling- heavy gameplan. On the feet it won’t be close in my opinion. Morales averages little over four significant strikes per minute. That’s insane volume Fugitt just has to survive the first round and we’ll cash this one. Another play on Morales that looks really good is his fantasy score to hedge the significant strikes play.

DAKKAR KLOSE OVER 60.5 SIGNIFICANT STRIKES-

Klose looked great in his return vs Jenkins after a lengthy layoff due to a weird weigh-in incident. He’s got a willing dance partner in Rafa Garcia who’s a strong wrestler but can hang on the feet as well. Klose has solid sixty-eight percent takedown defense which will be crucial for us here, the longer this fight stays on the feet the better for our prop. Klose lands over four significant strikes per min and Garcia absorbs over four significant strikes per fight. KEEP THIS FIGHT ON THE FEET KLOSE!

ORION COSCE UNDER 8.5 FIGHT TIME-

I love my City Kickboxing fighters but Blood Diamond is just not UFC caliber at all. He’s going to struggle against basically every wrestler he faces. UFC are feeding him to Cosce to get the latter back in the win column. Cosce is a strong wrestler and good grappler but the one knock on him is his cardio. The moment he faces a little resistance it could get dicey in the later rounds. Whether it’s Cosce ground and pound TKO/submission or Blood Diamond knockout this fight is not seeing the judges score card.

LEANS

  • Mayes o93.5 fantasy score
  • Moreno o103.5 Significant strikes
  • Edwards u73.5 fantasy score
  • Potieria u77.5 fantasy score
