Feeling very bullish on this upcoming fight night card headlined by emerging bantamweight contenders Song Yadong and Ricky Simon! There are heaps of great fights throughout the event which I am really looking forward to, and certainly some matchups where I see some value from a betting perspective!
BEST BET #1 | Julian Erosa H2H @$1.50
Two 6’1” featherweights collide as Fernando Padilla makes his first walk into the UFC octagon. He will face the crafty veteran Julian Erosa, who has amassed an impressive 28-10 record throughout his professional career. There is a lot to like about the young, dangerous Padilla, but I feel like this is too big of a step in competition against the well-rounded Erosa.
I do not like how quick Erosa is getting back into the cage after his KO loss to Alex Caeceres, but with all his experience, he must know when his body feels right. I expect him to use his experience to dictate the pace of the feet, and likely land the more meaningful strikes on the feet and in the clinch.
BEST BET #2 | Natan Levy H2H @$1.33
My most confident pick of the weekend is the grappling heavy Natan Levy to outclass Pete Rodriguez. Pete is a gunslinger that likes to trade early and often. He has never been past the first round, so I have questions about his cardio that I believe will be answered in this matchup. Pete definitely has a puncher's chance in the early moments, but once Natan closes the distance I do see him taking the fight to the ground, where Natan should dominate for however long this fight lasts.
I see Natan controlling Pete for long periods on the ground, and setting up a submission victory.
BEST BET #3 | Charles Johnson H2H @$1.46
Charles Johnson is becoming a fan-favorite in the flyweight division. He returns for his 5th UFC fight in less than 1 year of signing with the promotion, to take on a wrestler in Cody Durden. Cody could secure a few takedowns in the bout, but I fear he will not be able to threaten with the potential top control. Charles can work his way back up and land a lot more strikes on the feet.
I see Charles piling on the damage throughout the 15 minutes, to win a decision.
Overs or Unders
These are my round total predictions for the card!
Thanks for tuning in once again, I hope you all enjoy the fights this weekend! If you are having a bet this weekend make sure you do your own research and gamble responsibly.
