The UFC continues with another loaded fight night card this weekend! Proven Light Heavyweight finishers in Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann clash in what should be a chaotic main event, and there’s plenty of good emerging talent on display. This week's best bets are more so about betting value in my eyes, but hopefully we can continue our winning way!
BEST BET #1 | Ryan Spann H2H @$2.25
5 rounds of carnage is being served up in the main event between light heavyweight finishers in Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann. Krylov is a super underrated excitement machine with a finish rate of 93%. He does not discriminate in terms of his methods of stoppage, he has the power to knock you out, and also the submission skills to tap you out.
The fight IQ of Krylov has been questioned at times throughout his career, an instance that comes to mind was engaging in the grappling with Paul Craig which led to his demise in a very winnable fight. But the Ukrainian is back on track with consecutive wins over Volkan Oezdemir and Alexander Gustafsson. His adversary is an athletic contender series alum that looked extremely impressive in his most recent victory where he knocked out former title challenger Dominick Reyes in devastating fashion.
Both men are dangerous, and it will be a really fun fight to watch. I just think we’re getting really good value in the underdog here, and I expect Spann’s athleticism to be the difference maker for however long this fight lasts.
BEST BET #2 | Brendan Allen H2H @$2.70
I have always been extremely bullish on Brendan Allen. His LFA run was very impressive, and he has shown glimpses of that potential many see in him. With his striking and submission skills improving, the wrestling base has been there as a powerful tool to dictate where he wants the fight to take place. In this matchup against the dangerous Andre Muniz, he definitely wants to keep this fight standing.
Muniz is a submission specialist of the highest order, with a submission rate of 65% notable wins over the likes of BJJ legend Jacare Souza. Although Muniz obviously presents threats and has a path to victory on the ground, I really like this matchup for Brendan Allen. Despite Allen’s tendency to blitz and expose himself to be hit, his striking is significantly better than his opponents, and I am confident in his wrestling abilities to keep this fight in the kickboxing range.
BEST BET #3 | Augusto Sakai H2H @$1.90
Despite winning his first 4 UFC bouts, Sakai has flipped the script and is now riding a 4 fight losing skid. He faced some really tough competition most recently in Sergey Spivak and Tai Tuivasa, and this next matchup against Don’Tale Mayes is a significant step down in competition.
Mayes is very tall for the weight class, and has slick boxing skills. But I believe Augusto can use his Muay Thai to chop down his legs, and if this fight hits the ground Augusto is the superior grappler too.
PARLAY FILLER | Tatiana Suarez H2H @$1.12
Tatiana Suarez was compared to the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov for her grappling dominance. She has had some significant setbacks throughout her career, and for her to return to the ring is extremely impressive.
De La Rosa is well-rounded, but will not be able to withstand the onslaught i expect from Suarez. And in my opinion will not offer enough threats on the feet to prevent Suarez from getting the fight to the ground.
Overs or Unders
Thanks for tuning in once again, I hope you all enjoy the fights this weekend! If you are having a bet this weekend make sure you do your own research and gamble responsibly.
