Cory Sandhagen appears to be entering his prime as he is continuing to evolve his skillset and become more well-rounded and dangerous. He is a much more complete fighter than Rob Font in my opinion, although I do acknowledge that Font’s boxing is world-class in terms of MMA striking. Sandhagen has a more diverse arsenal of attacks and am confident he will be able to solve any of the problems Rob presents inside the 25 minutes.
VALUE PICK #1 | Kennedy Nzechukwu @$1.67
Kennedy Nzechukwu is evolving in front of our eyes every time he steps inside the Octagon. He is well-rounded, durable and has the skills to hurt Dustin Jacoby in this high stakes matchup. Dustin is a great kickboxer, but I feel like Kennedy can still hurt him and inflict a lot of damage particularly inside the clinch. I normally like to pick underdogs in this ‘value picks’ segment, such as Medic and Lewis last week who both cashed, but at these odds, I still see a lot of value in taking Kennedy to win this matchup.
Longshot #1 | Billy Quarantillo 3rd Round KO
Billy Quarantillo is known for his cardio, and I feel like he can utilize his gas tank to really pour it on Damon Jackson later in the fight. Jackson is a guy that is super underrated in my book, he can mix everything together and has a dangerous set of chokes in his repertoire, but I feel that Billy can really outpace him and potentially get a stoppage in the final round of the contest.
