Piera Rodriguez is 3-0 in the UFC, and I am adamant that she can continue her run with another victory this weekend. She faces the grappling heavy veteran in Gillian Robertson, who definitely presents threats on the ground, but Piera has all the tools to win this matchup.
Rodriguez has showcased great wrestling skills in her professional career to date, and I anticipate she can utilize her takedown defense to keep this fight standing where she can land the more damaging strikes.
BEST BET #2 | Mateus Nicolau H2H @$1.48
Brandon Royval will always be a fan favorite and is in another underdog position where he has the tools to pull off an upset. Brandon is dangerous on the ground, extremely active and implements elements of Muay Thai striking with menacing knees and elbows. However, he has a really tough task this weekend against the technical Mateus Nicolau, who does everything at a very high level.
I anticipate Nicolau remaining calm and composed, using his striking to land the cleaner shots and being able to outstrike the wild Royval.
BEST BET #3 | Chris Gutierrrez H2H @$1.42
Chris Gutierrez is a slick striker who has some devastating leg kicks in his diverse repertoire. He meets a fierce bantamweight contender who shares a passion for landing brutal leg kicks in Pedro Munhoz, an experienced campaigner who will likely look to get this fight to the ground at some stage to threaten with his submission attempts.
Pedro has a slick Guillotine choke, but I feel he will not get the opportunity to use it as I expect a kickboxing affair where Chris lands the cleaner shots and earns a victory.
