UFC returns with another loaded PPV that will crown the second BMF belt holder in promotion history! It’s a rematch between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gatheje which is impossible to disappoint. The main card has a heap of talent and the undercard features stars Derrick Lewis and Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson. It should be a great card, these are my best bets for the event.
BEST BET #1 | Jan Blachowicz H2H @$1.65
Jan Blachowicz is a powerful Light Heavyweight that has slick striking and very good submission skills on the ground. Pereira moves up to the more natural 205 lbs in this co-main event, and everyone is eager to see how his lethal power translates to the weight class. I believe that Jan can get this fight to the ground where he has a significant advantage, but if Pereira lands early it could get very interesting.
VALUE PICK #1 | Derrick Lewis by KO @$2.50
I still cannot believe Derrick Lewis is featuring in a UFC prelim in 2023. He will always be a draw for his personality and knockout power, which I expect to see on display against Marcos Rogerio De Lima. De Lima has better variety in attack, superior grappling and the cardio advantage. But Lewis has knocked out some of the best heavyweights in the world with his powerful boxing, and I do expect him to find the chin and get the stoppage early.
VALUE PICK #1 | Uros Medic H2H @$2.48
Uros Medic is a precise striker with knockout power, that I believe is being undervalued in this prelim matchup against the athletic Matt Semelsberger. Semelsberger has heaps of power in his striking, and few sub minute KO’s to show for it. I also respect his wrestling ability, but I feel he is too wild inside the pocket and could get caught and put away by the Serbian.
