Listen, I get it, you guys are going to comment like crazy that Alonzo is washed, he's older and he's done. But I disagree. Is he the same version of himself that he was on a 4 fight win streak? No. Is he better than a dude who started this sport 2 years ago? Yes. His last 2 losses are to Carlos Ulberg who he had a ridiculous gameplan against and Azamat Murzakhanov who is also very good. I think Alonzo has too much experience, too much power and is overall just too good to lose to a flashy newcomer. Julius is young, athletic and busy, but experience matters and in this case matters more. Alonzo is th epick and I threw a full unit on him at -140.
Alonzo Menifield
Alonzo Menifield has great power, typically great takedown defense and is always looking to take your head off with each punch. His striking can be wild and sloppy, but the power is undeniable. When Alonzo is coming forward and being the aggressor, he is a very dangerous guy but you can't always trust his decision making and oddly timed takedown attempts. He is coming off the KO loss to Azamat Murzakanov where he was marching forward and eating shots.
Julius Walker
Julius Walker is very early in his MMA career. He is 6-0 but has only been fighting professionally for 2 years. His inexperience shows. He can end up in bad positions at times and is forced to rely on athleticism to get through. He is definitely flashy and has some power. There are some holes in his takedown defense, but he is defensively sound enough to avoid easy submissions. He has solid offensive BJJ and is very capable of finding something in a scramble.
